Ticket pages

Cleaned up and presented in a new way, you’ll still have access to ClickBid’s ticket pages. Each guest is automatically a linked bidder. Plus, their information can still be easily updated on the fly using the Guest Update Link.

Bidding site

The Virtual Venue streamlines the bidding site with ticket pages, sponsor sign-ups, donation pages, key event information, and more—all of which can be easily viewed by your guests. Along with the cleaner look, you’ll enjoy faster and more reliable bidding data leveraging the latest tech in real-time notices. You’ll also benefit from the same crisp item display and zoom functionality you’ve always loved.

Auction preview

The legacy auction preview is now the auction bidding site. You’ll still be able to add a preview option on your landing page, including the ability to bid or register to bid without having a separate, view-only version.

 

EventStream

Now seamlessly integrated into the platform, the updated EventStream design encourages greater participation and utilizes faster tech to notify visitors when the feed is active. EventStream will now restrict the view to only people who are not attending your event in person, saving those guests from viewing a live feed while bidding online.

In-person events

Benefit from more reliable check-in and attendee tracking. By knowing who is attending in person versus streaming online, your organization can glean better insights on how effective your live broadcast is reaching donors from around the world. In addition, Virtual Venue is built to save staff and volunteers time.

QR codes

All of your items will automatically come with QR codes, allowing in-person attendees to quickly scan item displays and easily view item details. The QR codes can also be shared with online guests to highlight unique, attention-grabbing items.

AuctionGPT

Utilize AI to generate and add content directly to your landing pages, auction items, and more. AuctionGPT is now more integrated into the content creation areas of our platform.

Support for a seamless transition

The Virtual Venue will be supported by the same dedicated Account Management team. Not only will it be easier for you to use, but it’ll be simpler for our support team to service. We built the platform we’d want to spend all day using.

To facilitate a crazy simple transition, your organization will have all of 2025 to try out Virtual Venue before officially switching. During this time, our team will be documenting the updated platform, helping you test events, providing how-to tutorials, and giving walkthroughs by request.

Our Virtual Venue feature offers a modern, enhanced experience for your event management needs. You will be able to switch between the Virtual Venue and the legacy platform but keep in mind that data, such as customizations to your ticket page, may be lost during the transition. 

If you’re unsure about using the new Virtual Venue system for an upcoming event, we recommend creating a test event to fully explore its features. This allows you to get comfortable with the platform without impacting your live event. To avoid the hassle of reconfiguring settings and design elements, we recommend minimizing any back-and-forth switching between versions.

We recognize that change can be hard, but the ClickBid team is doing everything possible to make the transition easy for you. This includes providing you with a yearlong transition period, extensive training opportunities, and ongoing resources. The Virtual Venue provides you and your donors with simpler experiences than our legacy platform.

We care deeply about supporting our customers during this transition. Along with regular communications about Virtual Venue, we will be providing:

  • 1:1 Training: Starting in January, our Account Management team will provide personalized training of Virtual Venue for a smooth transition.
  • Tutorials: Our team is creating updated training videos that will be shared with you.

Once the platform is available in January 2025, we recommend creating a test event to play with the refreshed platform. As mentioned before, you’ll simply create a new test event using an old event’s data. Once you feel comfortable with the new enhancements, you can use Virtual Venue for your next event.

Definitely! We’ve seen competitors unsuccessfully release new versions of their software, underestimating how many people used their previous features. ClickBid is committed to improving—not removing—all the features you know and love. 

Our team is committed to continually improving our platform. We’re already planning on 2.0 and 3.0 releases.
